You may exercise the following rights at any time though our data protection officer (see contact details):

  • request information on the data about you stored by us and its processing,

The supervisory authority responsible for you depends on the federal state in which you live, your job and the alleged violation. You can find a list of supervisory authorities (for the non-public sector) with addresses at:

4. Deletion/Blocking of data

We follow the principles of data reduction and data economy. We store your personal data only so long as is necessary to accomplish the purposes named here or as provided for by the many different storage periods stipulated by law. After discontinuance of the respective purpose or at the end of these periods, the corresponding data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with statutory provisions.

5. Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred to your hard drive by a website server. From them, we automatically receive certain data such as your IP address, browser, operating system and your connection to the internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or transfer viruses to a computer. The information in the cookies helps us to make navigation for you easier and to display our web pages correctly.

Under no circumstances do we pass the data collected by us on to third parties or link it to personal data without your permission.

You can of course basically also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are routinely set to accept cookies. Generally, you can disable the use of cookies at any time via settings in your browser. Please use your internet browser’s help function to find out how you can change these settings. Please note that some functions of our website may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.

6. Contact form

Should you contact us by e-mail or contact form regarding any type of question, you voluntarily grant us your permission to contact you. It is necessary in this case to give a valid e-mail address. This helps us to associate the request to a party and then reply to it. Provision of further data is optional. The details you provide are stored for the purposes of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions. On closure of your request, personal data is deleted automatically.

7. MarketingPortal plus

Registration in MarketingPortal plus

When you register to use our personalised services, we ask for some personal data such as name, address, contact and communication details such as telephone number and e-mail address. If you have registered with us, you can access content and services that we only offer to registered users. Registered users are also able at any time to change or delete data they provided on registration. We will of course also inform you at any time of the personal data we have stored on you. We will gladly also rectify or delete this data on your request should statutory retention requirements not disallow this. To contact us in this regard, please use marketing.scs(at)

Provision of services subject to charge

To provide services subject to charge, we ask for further data to enable us to process your order. We store this data in our systems until the statutory retention periods have expired.

8. Newsletter

On explicit request from you, we regularly send you our newsletter and comparable information by e-mail to the email address you gave us.

To receive the newsletter, it suffices for you to give us your e-mail address. When you register to receive our newsletter, the data you give us is used solely to this end. It is possible that subscribers are also informed by e-mail about circumstances relevant to the service or registration (for example, changes in the newsletter offer or technical issues).

To register effectively, we need a valid e-mail address. To verify that a registration did indeed come from the owner of an e-mail address, we use the “double opt-in” process. To this end, we log the order for the newsletter, sending of a confirmation mail and receipt of the reply requested by it. Further data is not collected. The data is used solely for mailing of the newsletter and is not passed on to any third party.

You can revoke your permission to store your personal data and its use for mailing of newsletters at any time. You can find a link to this end in every newsletter. You can also unsubscribe at any time directly on this website or inform us of your wish via the contact possibility given at the end of this data privacy statement.

9. Web fonts

To present our content correctly and attractively in all common browsers, we use type libraries on our websites, e. g. Webfonts by Hoefler&Co. [] or []. Web fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache so that they do not have to be loaded again and again. If your browser does not support the web fonts or prevents access to them, the content is shown in a standard type.

When type libraries are called, this automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is then theoretically possible that the operators of such libraries collect data – although it is unclear at present whether they do and, if they do, to what ends.

You can find the data privacy policies of the library operators here:

10. Google Tag Manager

This website uses “Google Tag Manager”, a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter called: “Google”). Google Tag Manager enables us as marketer to manage web page tags via an interface. Tags are tiny code elements on websites that serve, amongst other purposes, to measure traffic and user behaviour, to collect data on the effect of online advertising and social channels, to deploy re-marketing and targeting of specific groups, and to test and optimise websites. The tool Google Tag Manager, which implements the tags, is a cookieless domain and does not collect personal data itself. Google Tag Manager triggers other tags that might collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If disabled at domain or cookie level, this remains effective for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Google has in the meantime joined the Privacy Shield agreement between the European Union and the USA, and has been certified accordingly. Google has thus undertaken to comply with the standards and regulations of European data protection law. You can find further information at the following link:

Information on the third-party provider: Google Dublin, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, Fax: +353 (1) 436 1001. You can find further information on data privacy at the following Google web pages:

11. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (text files placed on your computer) to analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation has been activated on this website, Google will, however, truncate your IP address in the Member States of the European Union and in other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

Google will on behalf of the operator of this website use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address sent by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. If you do this, however, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Further, you can prevent collection and use of website-related data created by the cookie (including your IP address) by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at
An opt-out cookie that prevents the future collection of your data will then be set on your computer.

You can find further information on the terms of use and data privacy at or at

Please note that Google Analytics code has been supplemented on this website by “anonymizeIp” to ensure anonymised collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

In addition, or as alternative to the browser add-on or within browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking this link [Disable Google Analytics]. This installs an opt-out cookie on your device. This prevents data collection by Google Analytics for this website and for this browser in future as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

To commit Google to processing of the transferred data only in accordance with our instructions and only in compliance with applicable data protection regulations, we have concluded a processing contract with Google. In the exceptional case that data is transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the Privacy Shield agreement concluded between the European Union and the USA and has been certified in this regard. Google has thus undertaken to comply with the standards and regulations of European data protection law. You can find further information at the following link:

Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”).
Follow this link for an overview of the Facebook plug-ins used on this site and their appearance:
When you open a page on our website containing such a plug-in, your browser does not immediately connect directly to the servers of Facebook. If you are logged into Facebook at the same time, your visit to our website will be associated directly with your Facebook profile, published and shown to your Facebook friends. The purpose and scope of data collection and further processing and use of the data by Facebook are not known to us. The plug-in can be recognised on our website by way of the “Instagram button”. When you open a page on our website containing such a plug-in, your browser does not immediately connect directly to the servers of Instagram. If you click such a button while logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages with your Instagram profile. As a result Instagram can associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We have no knowledge about the content of the transmitted data or its further processing and use.
You can find further information on this in Instagram’s privacy statement:

16. Admission, validity and effectiveness of the privacy statement

By using our website you agree to use of your data as described above. The privacy statement is currently valid and dates from March 2018.

17. Security advice

By taking all technical and organisational measures possible, we make every effort to store your personal data in such a way that third parties cannot access it.
We cannot ensure full data security in communication by e-mail and therefore recommend that you despatch confidential information by post.
