Offshore drilling rig on the high seas

Offshore

International references in the offshore sector

Harsh climate, salt-laden air – robust technology and perfect workmanship are needed in the offshore sector. Whether for drilling rigs, ships or port terminals – with its many years of experience, the international project team at STAHL CraneSystems will develop the best solution for even the most forbidding conditions.

  • STAHL CraneSystems: International projects – double girder overhead travelling crane suitable for marine use

This double girder overhead travelling crane with two AS 7 wire rope hoists is installed on a deep-sea vessel. The hoists each have a lifting capacity of 20,000 kg. This system was equipped with a rack-and-pinion gear and painted with a special coating to make it seaworthy.

  • Davit (special slewing crane) on a wind turbine in the IJsselmeer.

A robust off-standard chain hoist based on the ST series is used as hoist in this davit crane solution for offshore wind farms. It is protected against salt-laden spray by a cover of stainless steel. All controls are housed in a control box made of stainless steel at the foot of the crane pillar. Davits are special slewing cranes with inclinable crane cantilever arms.
