The development of crane technology

1898The first large electric gantry crane is built. It has a lifting capacity of 12.5 t and 11.5 m span.
1964 The first complete standardised crane programme is developed. Typification and standardisation permit efficent production at a high level of quality.
1984Introduction of the KT 2000 small crane system. This sophisticated modular system of rails, hoists, travel units, etc. can be employed flexibly both for simple applications and for automated material flow solutions.
1991Capacity of Ettlingen crane factory doubled by means of innovative process technology.
2006The beginning of a new era: innovative crane technology with practical conductor line, i. e. with no moving cables, is presented and launched on the market.
2010The new concept CraneKits for Crane Builders keeps planning work at a reasonable level and makes processing of orders effective and economical.
2013Introduction of KS and KA light crane systems.
